We rehearse once a month, on a Saturday, in Highgate.

COVID Protocol

Here are the measures we are putting in place so that we can feel safer singing together:

  • Please do not attend rehearsal if you have any COVID symptoms or are required to self-isolate for any reason.
  • We expect everyone in the choir to be fully vaccinated against COVID, unless medically exempt. We do not require proof, but we hope you recognize the need for us all to take responsibility for looking after each other in this way.
  • Please do a Lateral Flow Test on the day of the rehearsal if you can. These tests are no longer free, but they still reduce the chances of an asymptomatic person attending rehearsal and spreading COVID without realizing.

Maspindzeli is an open choir - there are no auditions and singers don't need to be able to read music, although the ability to sing in tune and a sense of rhythm are ideal qualities to bring! Songs are taught by our Musical Director, sometimes with and sometimes without written music, though music sheets are available for most of the choir's repertoire.
